- Observe animals at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo— virtually! Visit https://nationalzoo.si.edu/ webcams and choose an animal to observe for a few minutes, having children record their findings in a science journal (or on plain paper).
- They can use writing and drawing to answer these questions:
- Where is the animal? What is its habitat like?
- What does the animal look like?
- What is the animal doing?
- Once children are finished writing and drawing, they can choose a new animal and watch its webcam!
